How do you train my 6 month old labrador and golden retriever mix puppy?

You train a golden the same way as any other dog but if you want it to retrieve from the water it is complocated. the golden is bred to retrieve shot ducks from the water so have a fake duck or water toy duck and throw it into the water. have the dog by the color and when you release it, it will retrieve the toy. Praise the dog with a treat. Repeat this over and over ontil the dog can retieve on signal. Also the golden will have to be use to a gunshot sound and not run off when it hears it because they will. Golden retrievers are very smart dogs but they can be hard to train, it depends on if its a boy or girl, i have a male golden retriever right now and we've been using a gentle leader and a medium sized leash, and we've been taking him on walks everyday and it has helped allot, just don't give up or it will get frustrating ;)
