You first have to see if that dog has the blood in him to track people or pets. If she/he does have it in there blood then good. If they dont then SORRY! First you let dog sniff the item or thing you want them to track for PRACTICE. Hide it somewhere and let him find it. Do this tll the dog gets the hang of it. Then close the dogs eyes and hide it. Finally let the dog get a scent of a person. Let them sniff there: toothbrush, OR there bedsheet, there hairbrush. Or just things that person touches alot. Then let the dog go find them. Try it EASY at first. Like the person is standing behind a tree close bye. Then do it FARTHER and FARTHER. Hope that HELPS!

In "Where the Red Fern Grows," Billy needs to train his dogs in hunting raccoons. Raccoon hunting is a tradition in his family, and Billy's goal is to train his two dogs, Old Dan and Little Ann, to become skilled hunters who can assist him in catching raccoons. The training involves teaching the dogs to track, tree, and corner raccoons during hunting expeditions in the woods.
A train doesn't know which track to go on, it has no intelligence! What happens is that the signalling systems switches the train left or right at forks in the track known as points. These have small pieces of movable rails which direct the train onto the desired track.
