Kentucky doesn't require handgun registration, so the basic answer is, you can't because there is no such thing. You CAN, however, if you want to, go to a gun store and pay for a transfer and have the gun store process the paperwork, however this isn't required by any law in Kentucky.

∙ 7y agoLike most states, Kentucky does not have registration of ordinary firearms. You may give or sell a shotgun to another resident of your state so long as you do not have cause to believe they are ineligible to possess a firearm. There is no formal "transfer of ownership". If you like, make out 2 copies of a bill of sale, you both sign both, each keep one copy- but that is not required by law. If the other person is not a resident of KY, the transfer must be made thru a licensed firearms dealer.
