1. Plug in your iPod 2. Go to "My Computer"
3. Go to your iPod's drive (J for me) > Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren't sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View tab, and check Show) 4. After that click "iPod_Control" 5. Click the folder called "Music" > Typing (your iPod drive letter):\iPod_Control\Music in the address bar works as well 6. Copy the music folders therein onto your hard drive, and then add these folders to iTunes. > The folders may have names like F00, F01 and so on. The song names may be something like GVKP, JYVS and so on. The proper song names appear once you add them into iTunes.
Hope this helped :)

If you have music backups of the old iPod in iTunes, you can easily sync the songs with the new iPod. If you don't have backups, you are also able to transfer purchased songs from the old iPod to iTunes using the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes. This is how to transfer music from old iPod to new iPod with the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes: Step 1. Plug the Old iPod into computer via the USB cable. Then launch iTunes. Step 2. Click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases". iTunes will automatically transfer the songs to iTunes library. Step 3. Plug the new iPod into computer. Then import the songs from iTunes to the new iPod.
