Best Answer

One option would be to use the Google Translate Plugin, and then use the shortcode to wrap comments made perhaps. There is a Bing-like plugin as well, but as said Bing isn't great at translating as of yet. So the Google Translate option with template adjustments using the built-in shortcode might be the best way to go.

How do you take away the comments on a wordpress website theme?

This is how to remove a comment from your wordpress blog.1. Log into your wordpress account2. Go to the dashboard of the blog you want to edit3. There should be an icon to the left of the date, on the post you want to delete the comments on. Click it.4. Select the comments you want to remove, and choose delete from the actions, then click apply.5. Done! Another answer: The question is kinda confusing. What are you trying to do? Delete individual comments or remove the comment feature in your WordPress theme? If it's the former, the previous contributor's answer is the way to go. If it's the latter: 1. Open the post template (single.php) of your WordPress theme in your theme editor. 2. Look for the line of code like this: 3. Insert the PHP comment tag in the line of code as shown below. This would disable the display of comments and comment forms from ALL your posts (regardless whether you check the disable comment option or not). You might also want to do the same in the page template (page.php). Alternatively, you can simply disable the comments in each of your post, but you have to do this to each and every post.

Is there good social commenting tool out there for a WordPress blog?

Assuming you have a self-hosted WordPress blog through WordPress.org (and not .com), there are a couple of really great social commenting plugins available. My two favorites have been DISCUS and LiveFyre. Discus creates a login gateway where commenters can more easily like and reply to other commenters. There's also some much more efficient spam protection with DISCUS. LiveFyre integrates both Facebook and Twitter commenting into your WordPress comments, so that if your post is shared on Facebook, it aggregates the comments directly into the comment section of your post at your blog. Ditto this for Twitter. Additionally, if you're looking for just Facebook comment integration, you can use the official Facebook plugin for WordPress, which allows both Facebook logins and Facebook commenting to your blog posts.

Is wordpress safe?

Yes, it's safe. If you refer to privacy, consider making your blog closed to a smaller number of users at Settings > Privacy. HALFSPIRAL: It's has safe as at least any other on-line software. WordPress work really hard to fix any discovered bugs / vulnerabilities found. There have been security issues in the past, particularly SPAM commenting. So make sure you have your comments set for approval so you can filter the idiots who want to spoil your Blog. So if you use WordPress always install the latest updates or version (they are quite frequent) but the good news is that version 2.8+ now has an auto-update feature which makes life a lot easier !! WordPress is Fun and very reliable. Now wordpress just released the 3.0, it's more perfect security. Yes Wordpress is safe. Checkout operture.com for plugins that will make your Wordpress more secure!
