Before answer this question you need to know what it is used for. I will consider you are already knew it so now we can answer this question .Trap steam usually content of two main part , first prevent to steam escape , and the second part let the condensate and all non-condensable gas such (CO2 and air) . Now there are many technology to make it trap steam , I will remind two of them . First method is Inverter Bucket trab or simply IB trab , the criteria is simple just bring a bucket of course it's open on top side and a turn it upside down , take this bucket and set it at position the bottom is facing the nozzle of pipe (pipe is connected to streamline suction) . now cover whole that by metal house since there is no leakage available . before you make another step you should make a metal lip ( object of it is close office made in the top of cover ) , this lip have ability to close downstream line .
To allow air and non-condensable gases to escape you should make a " Vent air" , on the bucket of course in upper face .
Depends on the type of steam trap BUT basically it prevents steam from passing through the trap and alllows cooler condensate /air to pass
steam trap is a reverse filter, mean filter the steam and allow the water
Some that catches like a mouse trap and skeet trap or steam trap
The purpose of a steam trap is discharging noncondensable and condensable gases. They are essentially automatic valves that discharge using a small amount of live steam.
The purpose of a steam trap is to stop steam from passing beyond its point of use. A steam trap performs two functions. One is that it is an air vent. Two, is that it is a water outlet valve.
Steam Room Trap, Caurosel Trap, Oxygen Trap, Acid Trap and Barbed Wire Noose Trap.
Steam trap? Grease trap? moisture trap (drip leg)? Running trap? "P" trap? Drum trap. 1/2 S trap? sediment trap?
1. The Barbed Wire Noose Trap. 2. The Steam Trap. 3. The Oxygen Trap. 4. The Caurosel Trap. 5. The Cube Trap 2.0. 6. The Reverse Bear Trap 2.0.
A device that will allow cooler condensate to pass and hold back the higher temperature steam
you will get water hammer in the system
A condensates return temperature indicates excessive steam.
CHAMBER JACKET STEAM GENERATOR STEAM TRAP VALVES ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS CONTACTORS HEATERS
It works on the principle that condensate at a given temperature will flash to steam after pressure has been significantly reduced.
