When a girl is on her period, she tends to be very emotional. Cope with her emotions, show her you're still there for her but respect her when she doesn't feel like doing stuff, or does not feel like being held by you. Be courteous and listen to her. Try not to get annoyed or tired of hearing her. Just cope. That's the best I can tell you. But don't act all weird about it, treat her like you normally would.
