Calm and reassure the injured person.
Insulate the injured person from cold ground by putting a sleeping pad or blanket underneath him. You may have to logroll the person if a spinal injury is suspected.
Maintain a comfortable body temperature for the injured person. Cover him with a blanket, replace wet clothing with dry clothing and protect him from the wind or sun.
Elevate the injured person's legs by 8 to 10 inches. This will increase blood flow to essential organs.
It depends on their injuries. Treat them the same as you would any other trauma patient- stabilize their head and neck, splint any broken bones, treat for bleeding and/or shock, etc.
The prognosis of an individual patient in shock depends on the stage of shock when treatment was begun, the underlying condition causing shock, and the general medical state of the patient.
