Check the fuse first (owners manual has a fuse box diagram) or might be on fuse box. If o/k then:
Unplug the motor and check for power(test light or multimeter) going to the motor. If you have power (key on engine off) change the motor. If no power check the resistor and then the wiring back to the switches/relays.
Usually when fans stop working it can be contributed to the heater blower motor resistor which is either located in the heater duct underneath the dash or under the hood next to the blower motor.
Disconnect the negative battery cable, heater blower resistor wires and blower wires. Disconnect the heater core ground strap at the dash panel.Drain the cooling system and then disconnect both heater hoses at the heater.Remove the seven screws attaching the heater/blower case to the plenum and remove the heater/blower base.Remove the four screws from the heater core shroud, and then remove the shroud and core assembly.Separate the core from the shroud by removing the three screws and core mounting clamps and then separating the two.
For a car as old as a 1985 model, it could be that the heater blower motor control module has gone out. A new one for a 1985 Corvette is around $165 to $175 at auto parts stores.
The blower motor is mounted to the ductwork under the hood on the passenger side of the vehicle. It appears as an electric motor.
under the passenger side dash beside the heater fan
if i remember correctly there is a heater fuse behind the glove box. you need to pull the glove box to find it.
Beause there is probably a short/bad connection in the switch, or the blower motor itself

Remove the water supply hoses from your 1985 Chevy heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. The heater core will come out. Reverse the process to install your new heater core.
I have an Isuzu Trooper II 1985 and when the heater fan stopped working it was because the alternator was going out. I found that out a few months and a few dollars later, unfortunately.
