Yes my I phone is telstra pre-paid.
I had to unlock my phone and what you do is ring up your current provider and they will give you a code to put in to your phone which will unlock it from the provider and then you can use any sim card from any provider in the phone.
I would say Telstra is a sufficient form of mobile phone plan use. Not only affordable, but with great base rates, that allow for your daughters preference of either calls or text.
You can unlock Telstra prepaid phones from any vendors online like UnBBlock.com for blackberry phones and Simpleunlocking.com for other model phones
verizon prepaid and cheap cards and for my mobile prepaid and gusto mobile phone

Virgin Mobile offers better calling plans than AT&T prepaid in my opinion.
Mobile phone
The phone companies that offer prepaid plans are, Telstra, AT&T, Vodafone and Optus. There are many more, however, the three that are listed are universally known as the best brands.
T-Mobile does, in fact, offer prepaid cell phone plans. You can purchase T-Mobile prepaid phones in a variety of locations such as Walmart, T-Mobile stores, and online retailers.
Yes it is free to call a prepaid T-Mobile phone from a T-Mobile phone but instead of worrying about the bill just change the plan to a unlimited plan.
Yes the LG KS360 (Webslider) CAN be PrePaid. In Australia it is Locked to Boost ( run by Optus) on PrePaid but if you do not like the idea of Boost being the network of the phone, you can go to a mobile phone retailer or the place it was bought from and get it Unlocked to Telstra or any other network. I am with Telstra on a Webslider and it IS a good phone no matter what other people say about it and yeah it is a bit of a downer that the touch screen only works for dialling numbers but better some than none, right? Hope I have helped
