How do you turn invisible in Halo 3?

If you are playing a versus match (like on Valhalla or something) all you have to do is find an active camo, but if you want to stay invisible you must change the map settings. In campaign you cannot go invisible unless you pick up a cloaking.

there are two ways:

1. pick up an active camo (blue glowing orb)
2. pick up an item (cant remember what its called) and press x

both ways temporarely turns you invisible.

Find an armor ability that will briefly make you invisible, these can be found in various levels. If you are talking cheating wise as to permanently be invisible, it's not possible.
