The spanner light is a service light
to get the spanner (or service me now) light off all you have to do is turn the ignition on while the engine is off and hold in the trip meter reset button for six seconds or so.
dose the car turn over or nothing at all when you turn the key
this means that's its due a service , if you press and hold the odometer (trip) button on your dash then turn ignition on you should get a countdown from 10 to 0 then the service light will be reset, and............... the spanner has gone!!!!!
If you mean the orange light showing oil can and spanner hold both foot brake and throttle, turn on ignition and hold for 30 seconds. The light will flash, turn off ignition job done.
uh dictionary
If the service light is in the shape if a spanner then I presume it is like the 2008 model. In which case press and hold the trip button "0.0" before inserting the key. Insert ignition key while holding down the trip button and turn on ignition without starting car. Release the trip button and the service light spanner will cease to flash. Now turn the trip button to the right (clockwise) and it will reset. Service light (spanner) should disappear and only return when the next service is due!
turn ignition to position 2..press brake and throttle together for 15 seconds..light will flash..release and switch off...done!
igntion off. press and hold down on the button on the dash. turn ignition on. and wait for the spanner to disappear. turn igntion off. don't be alarmed if the trip meter resets cos it will go back to normal when the spanner light is removed from the dash.
spanner provides grip in applying torque to turn objects such as nuts and bolts-or keep them from turning.
It is a fault code on the ECU. It is not a service light.
