this can be removed by going to advance auto parts and borrowing there obd 2 port universal code reader. you should be able to clear the code that way or if you own one you can use it to clear the code manually. this will only temporarily remove the light if the problem has not been repaired.
Hey guy, I got an ETS warning light on my dashboard on my ML1998. is that something serious or ...? what might it be? I never changfed anything prior to it,so I have no idea what it might be related to..
ok. see the button with the wheels on it near the dimmer switch. It says ETS on it. push and it will light up.
ETS is connected to your ABS. ETS is a traction control and is linked to your ABS so to get your ETS light off you'll probably have to fix your ABS to get the light off. On mine, fixing a broken wire on my ABS plug which runs into the hub fixed my problem.
check to make sure your switch by you shifter marked ETS is not pressed as that will turn off your traction control and put your light on. It may be your front wheel bearings. Yes it defiinitly is the bearings it happened to me
I have a 1997 Chevy cavelier and it say's ets off check engine I'm curious to what would cause this problem and how do you fix it.
what does ets, esp and abs warning lights mean on a 2000 ml Mercedes
When there is a failure that sets the check engine light, the vehicle responds by going into a limp mode. This means traction control and ETS are automatically turned off for safety and to prevent further problems with the vehicle.

Why are ets and engine light on in 98 Chevy cavalier
To turn the ETS (Electronic Traction Control System) light back on, you typically need to press the ETS button or switch, usually located on the dashboard or center console of your vehicle. If the system has been disabled, this action will reactivate it. Additionally, ensure that the vehicle’s ignition is in the "on" position, but the engine doesn't necessarily need to be running. If the light doesn't turn on as expected, consult your vehicle's owner manual for specific instructions or check for any underlying issues with the system.
Normally the (Electronic Traction Control) ETS light is on when the ETS is turned off. Make sure the ETS is on and not off when driving at all times winter or summer.
Probably because you have the ETS turned off.
