Emergency lights, also known as Hazard Lights, can be turned off via a switch on the center console of the dash. The button has a triangle pictured on top of it.
Turn off engine, pull emergency breaks then turn engine on again.
yes you can in most cars putting on the emergency brake just a click or two will turn off the daytime running lights.
There is a button located in the center of your console, it is marked with a "red" triangle. Push this button and your emergency lights should come on... to turn them off, just push the button again. Hope this helps!
Only the front lights stay on for safety. You need to turn on your lights to get the back lights to come on. To turn off the front safety lights just push your emergency brake on one click.
If you want to turn off the running lights off try to engage the emergency brakes. I have a 2000 Montana and that works.
lock the doors, put it in park, turn the lights off if they are on and put on the emergency break
system blackout
There are daytime running lights in the vehicle, the only way to get them to turn off, is to pull up on the emergency brake. If you pull the break up one click, then it will turn the lights off, and you might be able to still drive, but I'm not sure.
Try pressing the emergency brake pedal one click to turn off Daytime running lights - Works in my 97
Your emergency lights are on.
You can only turn off the headlights by applying the emergency brake. When the emergency brake is on, the headlights will not light. Otherwise the best of my expererience is that they are on all the time. If you have remote start, put the emergency brake on before you leave the vehicle and when you remote start it, the headlights will not be on, but the driving lights (if switch is on) will be on as well as the parking lights.
You cannot actually turn off the lights while the car is driving or in any gear but park. If you would want to turn the lights off while you are parked for some reason, put the car in park, turn off the car completely, pull the emergency brake up, then restart the car. This overrides the headlights and they will stay off while the car is running-however, as soon as you release the emergency brake- the headlights turn back on.
