It is important to know the head bolt tightening sequence and the torque of a vehicle. For the Fiat Punto it is 20nm, 30nm, 90 degree turn, 90 degree turn, then in order 8,6,2,5,10,7,3,1,4,9.
flat battery
Airbag light on 2003~2005 Punto constantly comes on after moving seats or opening glove compartment, Fiat will charge you to connect a diagnostic tool and simply turn it of, Knowing full well it will only happen again and again, Its a rip off.

More than likely the electric steering motor under the steering column. If your are in the UK, go to a dealer and get them to use the examiner to check. There were units that were superseded by Fiat for failing (NOT a recall!)

If your fiat has twin front airbags, the light means that the n/s airbag has been switched off. To switch it on open the n/s door insert key and turn, remove key, and turn on ignition, light should go out.
when i turn the ignition key i jus hear a click noise coming from the engine. any body have any ideas of what it could be ? and well it wont accelarate and go anywhere .. ?
No lights light up and I presume no sounds when you turn the key, I would first check to see if the battery has a charge.

To reset the service light, fix the problem that cause the light to go off. Then turn the key to "On", press the odometer button until mileage shows, turn the key to "Off", hold down trip odometer reset button, turn the key 'On',release the trip odometer reset button after the display counts from 10 to 0.
Hi, I have a 1999 Fiat Punto and the airbag warning light was on for years but I never tried to have it fixed as someone told me it would cost a fortune! However I just failed the NCT test because of it so I was forced to have it repaired. I brought it to a guy who is a whiz with car electronics but he had to admit defeat and said I would have to bring it to a main dealer. I did, and they connected it to their diagnostic machine and within ten minutes had it fixed at a cost of 34 Euro. They said it had something to do with disconnecting the battery at one stage and all that was required was a reset.
