It depends on the pattern that you're doing, you can twist them yourself before adding the filigree cap, or if you are doing a seed bead necklace, then the twist is automatically in your pattern. Lots of patterns have illusion twists. The British Twyla Twist for example, you bead around in circles and because of your use of numbers and colours, it looks as if you are working it in twists. also Spiral staircase, you are just adding beads and the necklace looks as if it is twisting around.
