i am sorry but you cant do that.you can only type when there is a bow but you can always do safe chat!yah... i know it is boring but i have not found out yet.

Well you should be able to type chat or Safe chat. In Type chat you type in the box at the bottom of the screen and Safe chat you click on the speak thing and it gives you some catorgorys witch you can click and they will give you some words! :)
