If 1993 suburban rear ac not cold how can check the expansion valve?
The A/C is supposed to leak water. This is condensation, and is normal. Now if you are saying it is leaking inside the vehicle, then the drain line is clogged. Find the drain line and unclog it.
The amount of Freon that goes into a 1995 Chevy Suburban depends on whether or not their is just front AC or front and rear AC. If the Chevy Suburban on front AC only it takes 3.0 pounds of r134a Freon. If there is front and rear AC then it takes4.25 pounds of r134a Freon.
Blown fuse.
Most likely the rear expansion tube or valve is defective.
The rear A/C unit has a drain tube. Sounds like it is clogged.
Your rear ac expansion valve is located on the right rear inside your distribution assembly. You will have to remove the inner right side interior to get to it. It is encased inside the black assembly along with the heater core.
It is Low on Freon. I have a Tahoe that does the excat thing when my freon gets low..the back will be freezing cold and the front not.
Unclog the drain.
It is possible that the rear A/C lines have been cut and sealed so the freon stays in the front but does not go to the rear A/C. That is the case on my SububanAnswerThe suburban may have a heater core in the rear blower that is not shutting off. AC cannot blow hot, there is a coil for the AC and a separate coil for the heater. A simple fix is to have a shut off valve fitted under the hood to turn off the hot line to the front and rear blowers.
This depends on whether you have rear ac or not but there should be a decal under the hood that gives exact lbs.
There are two types of air conditioning types found in the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban. The front only ac systems have a Freon capacity of 36 ounces, while the front and rear ac systems have a capacity of 64 ounces.
