This Hartmann lock is not as simple as resetting the other common 3 ring locks, such as on the Samsonite. There are 999 numbers you can try and it takes about an hour to go through all 999 numbers. Your case will be open then. If you want to pick the lock, you can get a razor blade and slide it between the wheels (left side) and feel for a notch while turning the number wheels. Once you have all three wheels aligned to the notch, just write down the numbers and rotate the entire wheel set around together until it opens.

∙ 9y agoI have successfully unlocked 3 digit luggage combination locks by trying all combinations, it takes a few hours. I have successfully unlocked similar 4 digit combination padlocks by pulling the hasp then rotating each digit until I feel it drop in place, it takes up to about 30 minutes but this can't be done on built in luggage locks as they have no hasp.
If you don't want to spend that much time, just break the lock...
