Use a hammer and a piece or wood to drive it loose. They can stick.
you will have to drop the gas tank there are 2 bands holding the gas tank to the van with i think 15mm socket to take the bolts off . the fuel pump will be on top of the tank. disconnect the fuel lines, drop the tank. the fuel pump will be held on by a large screw on ring. unscrew the ring and the fuel pump will come out.
Remove the fuel tank then unscrew the retainig ring and remove unit.
Take off the bed of the truck. 8 bolts from the under side. access to the pump is located at the top of the fuel tank. disconect the power to the pump at the batery or at the pump. unscrew ring around the fuel pump and lift out the pump. do steps in reverse to replace

The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump. You have to remove the rear seat to access the pump. There is an access hole in the floor. There is a special tool required to remove the fuel pump retaining ring.

Raise the back seat and on the drivers side there is an access panel with 4 screws. Remove the panel and there is the fuel pump. Unscrew the retaining ring and disconnect the wires. The pump come right out. Place the new pump in, tighten the retaining ring, hook the wires back up and replace the panel. DONE!
