You have to buy an Action Replay DSi, it's a totally new device. You can no more 'update' an ARDS to ARDSi than you can 'update' a DS console into a DSi.

To Update your action replay connect your action replay with the cable provided to your computer (your DS and action replay should be switched on) open up your action replay code manager. If your console is not updating and action replay well you console is toast and i think it was the action replay because my brother's action replay broke and luckily did not break the ds console so i would consider get a new action replay and exchange your ds for a used at gamestop. Hope I helped
