Disks that can be read by Macs include Audio, Video, Data, and Photo discs that can be played / watched in standard DVD/CD players.
Disk can be divided into two types: Media and Data.
Media disks are not designed to be 'uploaded' into the Mac. They are designed to be played by the Mac. "Ripping" applications are available that allow people to copy media into the computer if necessary.
Data Disks will show up on the desktop as external drives. Files can be copied from the disk into the Mac. Some files may not work on a Mac. For example "EXE" files are used by Windows computers, and are not usually available for use on the Mac. However, software is available to run EXE files on the mac.
Uploading and downloading are terms which usually refer to files transferred to and from the internet.
To automatically do something with an inserted disc you need to tell the Mac what you want to do. You use the CDs & DVDs section of System Preferences to tell the Mac what to do when you insert a music CD or DVD and when you insert a blank disc.
Using a Mac or Windows? In windows, click Start, My Computer, then double click the drive icon where the CD is inserted and it will open to show the pictures.
go onto interent, options, add or display, downloads, alias if it say please upload flash it is blocked
Reformatting a hard disc will wipe the contents from the hard disc. You will need to backup the contents of the hard disc onto an external disc before reformatting and then copy the contents back to return it to the newly reformatted disc.
If a Mac computer is not accepting a disc, check the disc for surface scratches. Superficial scratches can compromise the disc and result in errors. You will also want to be sure that the disc is compatible with Mac computers.
If it is the Mac version of Spore and the Mac has an Intel processor (1.7GHz Core 2 Duo or higher) then the disc will work. If it is a Windows disc then it will not work unless the Mac is running Windows.
I'm afraid that once the song is on the iPod, it stays on the ipod. This was made this way so that if one friend buys a song, he cannot download it to his ipod and bring it to his friend to upload it to his itunes so his friend can get a free song. You cannot upload ipod music to a mac.
Create the video, then transfer it to your mac. Then open iMovie (already installed on all macs) go to file -> import video, then just browse to the video. You can then edit it to your liking. Then click share -> YouTube, then just enter your username and password and hit upload. Done!

A CD/DVD disc: It will depend what is on the disc. If there are files (Text, Video, Audio etc.) that the Mac can read then you can open them on the Mac. A hard disc: It will depend how the disc is formatted. Some will work. Some will be read only. Some will need reformatting to a Mac friendly format with Disk Utility.
