very simple. it measures the depth of the slot. the ACE style tubular key has 7 pin slots. So looking at the end of the key you put in the lock, counting clockwise,
position 1 through 7. so position 1 might have a depth of "3",
position 2 might be 7, and so on. depth is measured how long the cut is made tward the handle of the key. it is used to replicate an existing key.
Hope this helps .
Dan.
The Herty Gerty is a compact, hand-operated tubular key machine. Code cuts #137 standard tubular blanks - offsets left, offsets right, and even pin within a pin (requires accessory #CS). Cuts any spacing 0 to 360 degrees. The Herty Gerty may also be used to duplicate by using tubular key decoder which is included. Herty Gerty with standard cate by using the tubular key decoder which is included. Herty Gerty with standard cutter, dial, decoder & case.

No. There are many thousands of different keys for tubular locks.
It is in the key of d minor (1 flat-b).
No, you can't use a high definition decoder to access free internet.
you can use the decoder in spy island. if you see some mysterious people, (normally in black) talk to them and they may give you a message.
get it in the temple in shark tooth to get it u need a decoder.
It means "on the roof" (you use the decoder ring to decipher it - get the decoder from Director D at Spy Headquarters). The first spy is being held at the docks, and the only door is on the roof. You need the Chameleon Suit from Dr. Spyglass to slip by the guards.
the dwakel decoder searches tiny crystallized dragon's breath...you must get J6 secret hideout map and use the dwakel decoder to find hidden places..
Line up the decoder with the letters for the "key". If the is key shows L (its red) = O(its green) then you click the O turn it in ring until it comes to L. Then you can see what the code letters (in red) mean in the actual message (the green letters).
you have to read the messages that you get from other spies and when it says the key is O=n or something else like that, you line those letters up in the decoder
use the decoder from director d
