How do you use a c4 in call of duty black ops?

(Xbox 360) Firstly, equip the c4 using the d-pad, then aim in the desired direction and press the left trigger (LT) to throw. After, when desired, press the right trigger (RT) to explode the device.

hit right on the d-pad and then tap l1 or left trigger to throw it, right to activate. if you die you have to place c4 again.
