There are two types of vaporizers and I am unsure which you are talking about. One is for when you are sick and it puts menthol medications in the air (such as Vick's vaporrub). For that you set up your vaporizer on the table across the room fill it 3/4 full of water and put the Vick's in the little tray right under where the steam will come out, turn it on, and the steam will melt the Vick's causing the menthol to permeate the room, as the ill person breathes the air around then, the menthol will break up congestion in their chest.
Now, if you are speaking of the other type of a vaporizer, that is just as easy. You just insert the herbal blend at the end of the hose that you stick on the heating element. Make sure you have a screen in to prevent the herbs from coming down the hose (whip). Turn the vaporizer on as high as possible and wait 10 minutes. At this point be very careful not the touch the heating element because it will be very hot. After ten minutes, turn the vaporizer heat to halfway (I never do this, but that was how I learned). At this point you take the other end of the hose, put it in your mouth and breath in. The vapors from the herbs will then release. I would suggest the you don't suck in too hard on the first time, because the first breath can be kind of strong.
Try to get a vaporizer that has another extension that you can put water in, and stick the hose in, it will cool down the vapors and make it much easier. I don't know how much I helped, but I imagine there may be some videos on YouTube.

That's not the type of vaporizer you use to smoke marijuana. I suggest you go to your local head shop and buy a "volcano" they are pretty expensive, but they get the job done. But if you seriously had to ask a question like that. I really don't think you need to be smoking any more marijuana in the first place. BTW how much weed did you waste before you figured out that the vaporizer would just make it an unsmokeable soggy mess?
