if it says Y in a little box under a game press Y on your ds after that their should be a list of cheats. If you have a Chinese or Japanese r4 you won't be able to read the cheats but just put them on and see what they do. As for some cheats they may have a plus sign, if it does click it and it may come up with a list of things in English. Like on my pokemo diamond it has a plus I click it and it comes up with a list of poke balls but in English. Hope i helped.
