How do you use headset microphone in online gaming like AOE3. When my headset with microphone goes in and I can't use the microphone but the speakers work?

What you most likely need to do is this:

1. In the bottem right hand corner there is a small icon of a speaker (generally you click this to change the volume), Click it to open.
2. You should see a bunch of different volume controls
3. Click options at the top of the window where file, edit, etc. is normally located
4. You should see a bunch of things that are checked and unchecked... Check the box toward the bottem that says mic volume
5. Go back to the main screen (The one that was on steps one and two)
6. Now you should see mic volume and in your case it is most likely muted, unmute it and turn the volume up
7. Test your microphone


It should be working now, have fun :)
