You can use this download-er (in the same time updater) to download your Sprite from the internet and let your game read it from your desk !!
This is the link: http://gamemaker.simondonkers.com/example/26
download it and you will know how to use it !! (it's very easy!!)
you can put the picture url and the game will download it automatically !
(game will be not responding while downloading any thing!)
and you can name it from the script (Init).
That's is helpful !
What do you intend on doing with them? For comics you just take the sprites and put them in paint. For a game you must have a program to insert them.
Game sprites are basically picture used in 2D games or animations you put 1 picture then next and then next and the character well move you need an programme to make the animations i use windows movie maker and to make a game game maker go and try it
tutorials are available on www.yoyogames.com/tutorials, but maybe you need something easier. other available programs are rpg maker, fps creator, 3d game maker, and adobe flash(a little harder)
The best game maker available on internet, for 2d games is, YoyoGames Game Maker. It can do anything for you in 2d, and it's very simple to use, just you need to do is, mind about what you are doing with it.....
Use a pencil and then photoshop your drawing...
Just use bounding boxes, not the other thing you're doing
Sprites from a game are subject tot he same copyright as the game itself, so if the game is copyrighted (Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, etc.) then they are, but if the game isn't copyrighted it's free to use. But remember to give credit where credit is due.
Yes. Game Maker contains many functions for using a joystick.
Executables (even compiled by Game Maker) are not possible to edit in Game Maker. To edit it you would have to decompile or disassemble it, or use a hex editor. Game Maker can only edit files such as *.gmk, *.gm81 and older versions of the Game Maker files.
You could use game maker. Download it by typing download game maker. This will be a freeware
