The INV button is the same as the SHIFT button on the top left corner of the buttons (the leftmost button under the screen).
F1 is used for HELP

He wants you to type in a category or key word to help you search.
Depends on the version of PowerPoint. It's under the Help menu in version 2007 and earlier, and there's a question mark button at the right end of the ribbon in 2010. Or, you can press the F1 function key.

yes you can either click the help button or type the title of the book in the search bar if you dont know the title but know the genra of the book then type that in the space bar

The tools button is not realy a button but a drop down menu from the task bar under the address bar of your screen. If you do not see it, you would need to modify your view by right clicking on the area under the web address bar and choosing from the drop down box, the menu bar. This will include the drop down menus- File Edit View Tools and Help
