"Consented" means agreed to. While the sentence above may be true, I would think a better sentence would be:

His constant whining drove her nuts so she consented to buy him the toy.

He did not have consent to touch her in this way.

"Consent" is to be "approving" of....

Example: "You have my consent to marry my daughter."
