∙ 9y agoStart with kindling. This is small pieces of wood, wood shaving and you can add some paper to help this ignite. Place this all in the fire basket, add slightly larger dried wood above this so that you light the kindling (and paper) as this catches light it will start to burn the larger wood above. When this catches light and is burning consistently add the large log to the top if the fire. Its vital that all the wood is dried through else it will smoke heavily and not burn
