When the machine is turned off..?
Open up the computer and look whether or not the type is wrote on the ram sticks.
It may have the type wrote on it, mine does.
I don't personally know another way whilst the system is turned off..
Assuming you mean 'volatile' - RAM is volatile... When you turn the power off - RAM loses its contents. Non-volatile RAM is able to retain its contents even when the machine is turned off.
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is a type of computer memory that is used to store data and machine code that is currently being used or processed by the CPU. RAM is volatile memory, meaning it loses its contents when the computer is powered off.
Yes, but it will be erased every time you power the machine off.
RAM (Random Access Memory).RAM is a type of volatile_memory.Data in RAM is not permenently written.when you power off your computer the data stored in RAM is deleted.TYPES OF RAM.1.(Static_Ram) 2.(Dynamic_Ram)
In computing the most common type of currently used volatile memory is random access (RAM). RAM volatility involves the loss of data upon power loss to the RAM modules.
Memory that requires power to maintain it is "volatile memory" and includes RAM. RAM is random access memory, and, to keep it simple, the data put in RAM by the microprocessor is lost when power to the RAM is interrupted. That's like when the machine is shut down or loses power. Data stored in RAM "disappears" if the memory is not "kept alive" by the power supply. RAM is not designed to "hold" data when the machine powers off. Computers don't rely on RAM to "remember" what is in it at shut down. When the machine boots up next work cycle, RAM is reloaded with what the microprocessor wants in it to support operations.
RAM, or random access memory.
The crowbar is a lever.

Turn it off and then back on. RAM is temporary memory that needs a continued electrical charge to retain it's information, so once you turn it off, the memory is wiped from the RAM.
What does it mean when you have a message on fax machine load mp feeder with type 6 letter? Clear it off
You might be looking at available RAM. Your only 34 MB off the mark anyway. It appears you installed it correctly as well. Try reinstalling the ram sticks in your motherboard. To verify the total amount of RAM, go to start, control panel, and then system, then click the general tab. Your OS, processor type, and amount of ram should all be there. There is really no physical way to increase ram unless you change out the memory sticks. The reason RAM cannot be increased is because its a physical piece of hardware, much like you can't make your hard drive bigger unless you buy a larger drive.
