you cant save a picture directly on snapchat so you need to get an app called snapchat save. i know you can get it if you have an apple device but i dont know about any other type of phone. also , you can snapshot the picture with (on an apple device) the home button and the lock/power button. if you dont have an apple device theni know they also have a snapshot app.
