If they're human hair, you wash & maintain them the same way you would your own hair.
Comb your hair extensions with either a comb or a brush; make sure all knots and tangles are gone.
With cool to warm (never hot) water gently wet the extensions.
Put shampoo on them, you don't need to be rough with them.
Rinse out the shampoo.
Once you've rinsed out the conditioner and they've dried, comb through the extensions so they're not tangled. You can leave the extensions out in the sun to dry if you're in a hurry, they'll need straightening.

Notes:
Yes. You can hand wash them with shampoo-but be gentle.
I think they are waterproof. I have a blue feather and I wash it when i wash my hair
Before you try, you need to check with your hair dresser or wherever you purchased you hair extensions to see if they are washable!
You can wash your hair extensions if they're human hair; otherwise, use a mild shampoo or shampoo specifically for weaves/wigs
If they're real, yes.
I recomment Effortless Extensions as seen on The Rachael Ray show. You can check them out at www.effortlessextensions.com
Yes, you can wash your hair with tinsel hair extensions in it. There is no extra care required to clean them. You can simply wash them with your regular chemical-free shampoo. Washing the hair tinsel extensions helps to keep your locks shiny and glowing.
I am almost positive they are synthetic. Meaning you cannot curl, straighten, or I believe, dye them. They are less than $25, which indicates fake. They are still very good to use, I use them. They look nice. I just cannot do much styling. However, places sell real hair extensions for about 45-65 dollars. They're not terribly expensive, but generally they don't include the clips depending where you buy it. Sally's sells clip on real hair extensions for about 105-110 dollars. Pricey, but very worth it. They work extremely well,Look gorgeous, plus because they are clip on they last much longer since you don't wash them or wear them to bed.
if you buy the real human hair extensions then yes they should be washed every four days or so. depending on how you style them. and also you can wash them with baby shampoo and they can wear longer and the other kind of hair like synthetic hair as well, just let them dry with out the blow dryer,it can and will hurt them in the long run.
Years if you dont wash them, and look after them well - put them neatly away etc.
Since hair extensions don't get normal oils from the scalp like our own hair, they don't need to be washed frequently. We propose possibly washing your extensions each 5–8 wears or when there is an excess of item development and they become unmanageable to style. We strongly suggest utilizing sans sulfate and liquor free hair items, as these fixings can dry the hair out, prompting bunched up, tangly hair. You can wash your Diva Divine Hair Extensions a similar way you would your own hair.
2-3 times a week
