You need to school your horse at home first so that you are prepared. The day before the show, clean all of your tack, boots, numnahs etc. In the show ring make sure you grab the judges attention the most eg. your could turn a circle. Also make sure your horse has plenty of room in front of him/her to show off to the best of his ability. Be sure you know what the classes you're going to be in! Don't put yourself in something you can't do! Make sure you practice a lot! Always make sure you and your horse are in perfect condition, it will make you feel more confident but don't over-school you and your horse !
no it shouldn't it is more like a sport to me exercise for me and the horse or in this case you and the horse but its more like exercise for the horse cuz you really don't do anything but sit there and make the horse turn btw no offense when i said you don't do anything if i offended you.
yes it is illegal
This depends on the age and health of the horse and what you use it for. However, I think that if you want your horse to be 'fit' then you should be riding it several times a week for at least 30 minutes.
Of Course! i love my horse, she is a very good companion and training horses is very good exercise. riding is fun, but really you're just sitting so that isn't much exercise. ;)
you don't have to but if you want to you should only do it for 30-45 minutes.
Take your horse to the vet. He/she probably has a sinus infection/problem. I could be way off, so take it to the vet to get checked. They should give you an antibiotic for your horse if it is an infection. I hope your horse is ok. :)
The number of times a day you exercise a horse will vary according to the horses level of fitness, it's lifestyle, your schedule, and if you board the horse, the farms schedule. A horse typically needs 45 minutes to one hour a day of concentrated exercise where it is worked in a frame and asked to collect and extend itself. The horse should also be worked on suppling during the workout. You can do one long workout or break it into two smaller workouts if you prefer.
It depends on how big the horse/pony is but, really if it's your horse, you should know!!
You should exercise the horse every day, but take it easy at first and then build up a routine. It depends on your horse's health, size, weight, age, etc.
Energy pellets will help, but I suggest looking into those. They must be used wisely and you have to exercise your horse more. -Andalusiangirl
It doesnt really matter were you stand when you are leading a child on a horse you should stand by the horses shoulder and most people would say that you should stand bt the horses shoulder but i dont really think it matters
if the horse is shaking then it is probably because he is "chilled" even if it is warm outside. You should walk the horse around and do not take of his saddle until he has stopped shaking, then brush and walk some more.
