How do you wire a 240 volt street light circuit?

A 240 volt street light circuit is wired in parallel connections. In the base of the street fixture an inline fuse is connected into the circuit that goes up to the fixture to protect the lamp head.

Can a 220V light fixture be used in the US?

Yes, you can easily use it. Just install it as you would any other 120 volt light fixture and change the bulb from a 240 volt bulb to a 120 volt bulb. It will work just fine.

Is a 220 volt electrical power wire the same as a 240 volt electrical power wire?

Yes 220 & 240 are considered the same.

Does 240 volt have a neutral wire?

Yes <<>> In North America, a three wire 120/240 volt system uses a neutral wire. For 240 volts two "hot" wires are used with no neutral.

Can you wire a 240 volt window ac from a 277 volt feed?

no

Can you use a 277 volt high pressure sodium light in my garage?

Not unless you have 277 volts in your garage. Open the fixture and check the ballast. Some of the commercial fixtures have multi tap connections for different voltages. If 120 or 240 volt tap is present then you can use the fixture.

Will splicing a 3 wire 240 volt compressor with a 4 wire 240 volt male end damage compressor motor?

It could if you don't get the terminals and motor wires on the correct terminals.

How do I wire T8 multi volt lights fixtures to 220 volts?

The terminology T8 suggests to me that the fixture is a fluorescent fixture. These types of tube fixtures need a ballast to make the tubes ignite. If you are trying to operate this type of fixture on 220 volts, you will need a ballast that requires a 240 volts input voltage source.

How do you change from 32volt old wire to a light into 240 volt through a junction box?

You don't. This sounds like a strange situation. Get an electrician.

Can you wire up a 240 volt single phase water heater to 277 volt single phase?

How do you change a 220 240 volt wire to a 110 120 volt wire?

Wire is wire - is doesn't matter what voltage you use. However, if you are changing the voltage on a device from 240 to 120, given the same power requirement, you may need bigger wires for the doubled current (and increased heat of resistivity).

Can you use 600 volt wire for 240 volt appliance?

It depends on the voltage, but if you are using it on a 240 v system, it's quite OK to use wire that can take 600 v (if you had to buy the wire, you would be spending too much).
