starter on 67 camaro which wire goes were. There are two one purple one yellow.
The purple wire for on starter 1980 Camaro is the solenoid wire. The wire can be dark purple or purple in color.

The electric choke wire connects to the electric choke assembly on the carburetor. It's a round, black plastic assembly that is on the side of a STOCK carburetor. There SHOULD be a connection on the "HOT" side of the coil that lets you connect the choke wire.

Not sure about specifically for a 1971 307, but normally the choke has 2 wires. One is ground and the other goes to a fused 12V source (supplies 12V when igition key is turned on)
