There are three terminals on a coil: positive, negative and "center." The center terminal connects to the center terminal on the distributor cap. Negative always connects to the condenser in the distributor. If you have a tachometer, it connects to the negative. Positive connects to three places: the ignition switch wire, the backup lights, and the choke heater on the carb or carbs if your car is so equipped. Quick troubleshooting technique: if your car dies when you put it in reverse, unplug the wire to the backup lights and see if it does it again. If it does, you have a short in the backup light circuit.
The ignition coil wire diagram can be found on Mustangs And Fords website (link to diagram below).
no
There is no coil wire. There is a coil pack and connected to the coil pack is the ignition control module.
The 1999 Jeep Cherokee ignition coil used a black wire for the negative wire. The negative wire should be on the left post.
The coils are bolted to the ignition control module, there is no coil wire as such.

If you see no center coil wire connector then the coil is mounted inside the distributor. If there is a center coil wire connecter then follow the coil wire and it will go to the coil.

Primary wire comes from ignition key to hot side of coil.
The coil is supplied power by the ignition, remove the wire and it will not operate.

the question,im not sure what your asking but the ignition coil would be the coil that feeds spark to you distributor, there woll be a coil wire or spark plug wire that runs from the coil to the center of your distributor cap and will have an electril wire from your ignition that supply's 12 volts to the terminal marked "+" on the coil when the key switch is turned to the run or start pos.and a electrical wire that runs from the distributor to the terminal marked "-"on the coil, unless it is a newer vehicle that has a coil for every cylinder, which would have a coil mouter over or close by every spark plug.
