i would use the old one as a guide, white to white ,red to red, black to black,if you purchased one you wire your self i would take it back and get one with harness. life is much simplier then.Really some are two wire, some are three and i have even seen four wire ,two wire sense and two wires are a heater circuit.
bad O2 sensor
Mitsubishi Galant, 2002, 4-cyl, O2 sensor, bank 1 sensor 1 (upstream)... PART NUMBER: MR506364
It depends on if you've got the 3.0L V6 or 2.4L 4 cyl. Also it depends on if you're car has California emmissions or not. I'm not sure about the V6 so I can't help you there, but if your's is a 4 cylinder WITH CA emmissions you've got 3 O2 sensors, the first one is a 1 wire sensor located on the exhuast manifold (or in most cases, the 4 cyl. Galant came with a factory header), the next is a 4 wire O2 sensor just before the Catalytic converter and the third one is located just after the CAT. If you DON'T have CA emmissions, it's the exact same minus the first single wire O2 sensor on the header.
For the 1993 Toyota Tercel, the O2 sensor has three different wire colors. These colors are: black, blue, and white.
to change o2 sensor ,you need to buy a o2 sensor socket from a parts store then disconnect neg terminal on battery ,after that disconnect wire connecter on o2 sensor and remome o2 sensor
The fuse is blowing out because the wire for the O2 sensor is shorting to ground. Replace the entire wire (trace it through the wiring harness) and the connector for the sensor.
Open your hood, look down at the engine, that thing sticking out of the front of it with the wire going to it is it. If you are still confused look at where the radiator fans are and the o2 sensor is directly across from them. Actually there are 2 O2 sensors one in maifold and the other in the flex pipe.
Usually only one wire there, but some are heated O2 sensors, that wire will have 12 volts while ignition is on.
hai my car is ford fiesta zetec 2003 5door ,in my cay o2 sensor have fault .can you tell me how many o2 sensor are there and were is location
The 3-wire is an O2 sensor with a heater thus the third wire so It either won't work at all or won't send voltage to the pcm until it is hot...
Follow the exhaust from engine , its the first thing sticking out of exhaust pipe you will see with a wire attached to it
You don't. Buy the correct sensor.
