How To Install a Car Equalizer?

If the sound system in your car just doesn’t seem to blast your music loud enough for you, it might be time to think about installing a car equalizer. A car equalizer can essentially control all of the frequency bands that come along with different radio stations, CDs, and MP3s. Without a car equalizer, you would constantly be needing to change the various levels on your player. Now that you know what an equalizer is, how exactly do you get said equalizer installed into your vehicle? The first thing that is an absolute MUST is to turn off all power sources to your car. You are going to be working mostly with the wiring and the fuse boxes when you are installing your car’s equalizer, so you most assuredly don’t want to be surprised when your car has a power surge and you are working in the fuse box. Now you are going to want to decide where you want the equalizer to be in your car. Most people are going to put them on the dashboard because it gives them an easy place to adjust the equalizer as needed. If your equalizer did not come with some form of mounting piece, you may have to use a makeshift holder to get it to stay on your dashboard. Once you have the car equalizer mounted, you will need to take some 16-gauge wire and plug it in to the panel of fuses where it says power in. You’re then going to be able to hook the main unit of your stereo system to the equalizer by running a wire from the stereo to the equalizer. You will need to remove the covering at the end of the wire that turns your unit on as well as removing the covering from the end of the wire you plugged into the equalizer. Tape these two pieces of wire together with black electrical tape. Next, you are going to need to relay the wire for turning the system on. The RCA cables originating from the main unit are going to need to be connected to the outlets of the amplifier. Take these cables so that you are putting the equalizer and the amplifier cables together. From the outlets of the amplifier, you will need to run the RCA cables to the inlets of the equalizer. After you’ve completed all of these steps, just put the main unit back into the dash, turn your equalizer on, and enjoy a most stable music experience.

How do you reconnect factory stereo in a 1994 Chevy Suburban c1500 Do see the 2 wire harnesses coming from the stereo but do not see where to connect them Plus see nowhere for the antenna to plug in?

I have a silverado and there is a small silver box mounted under the dash between the radio and the equalizer. the radio, equalizer and antennae plug into that.

Explain fly by wire in aircraft?

Fly-By-Wire describes the type of controls the aircraft uses to move the surfaces of the wing and tail that controls the aircraft. The first aircraft used cables that transmitted the pilot's inputs to the control surfaces. Later, airplanes were designed such that the pilots inputs of the pedals and control stick would move cables that activated hydraulic actuators that pushed and pulled the controls. Finally, Fly-By-Wire was designed so that the pilot moves his controls that provided electrical inputs into a computer. The computer then uses information from other inputs and then calculates the proper control changes. This command is transmitted by WIRE to an actuator or a servo back to the wing/tail which moves the control surface. A good example of Fly-By-Wire and one of the earliest is the Engine Controls. The pilot moves his throttle which transmits an input to the Engine Control Computer. The computer collects other data and makes the necessary control inputs to adjust the fuel and the variable stators and thrust reverser to obtain the necessary thrust.

What is the standard wire color for PLC inputs and outputs?

There is no specific standard for PLC inputs or outputs, as existing standards wire color codes are based on voltage rather than by function. Different standards apply in the USA, Europe or other countries, and it depends if you intend to wire a PLC for a domestic application or it is going to another place where the requirements may be different to the local ones. Check it. These standards my help you: NFPA 79 UL 508A IEC 204.1 / EN 60204-1 If you mention where you are located or where is that piece of equipment going, maybe I can give you further info.

How do you wire your amp to receiver?

ideally "line out" on the receiver to "audio in" on the amplifier, left and right... If there isn't a "line out" use the the "audio out" but keep the volume on the receiver relatively low to prevent overdriving the inputs on the amplifier.

Are all sub woofer cables universal?

The simple answer, is NO. It depends on the actual connection. From the head unit to the amplifier, it typically is an RCA cable, but if your using "Speaker level inputs" then it would be speaker wire. (with a special harness). However, if your hooking up a Subwoofer to an Amplifier, depending on the guage of wire, Yes. They are universal. Many people typically just use plain speaker wire, however, many use special "Shielded" wire for subwoofers.

What is the difference between the Yellow constant power wire and red switched power wire for a sony car stereo?

the colors! Lol the constant is plugged in to make sure your memory in your deck is saved such as radio stations and equalizer settings however you could attach both power sources to main power if memory is not an issue just make sure you have your ground plugged attached
