All CD/tuners these days have two live feeds,I assume you are asking about the one which stays live? There is the usual feed from (say)the ignition switch which powers it up when you turn the key,but you also need a permanent live to maintain the memory etc. Ideally,you will find (with a test lamp)a spare feed on the fusebox or somewhere to "piggyback" onto. If you can't find anywhere suitable,then go to the battery + and use a eyelet to connect the wire.Have a light (say) 1.5 amp line fuse in between the battery and the unit.
