I have a HP computer with a webcam built in it where you can download them straight to YouTube. It's called Cyberlink it's the BEST ever! It's gonna probably be located in your programs.

You have to have a webcam and make sure you press accept when it asks if you want to let the site use your webcam.
make sure you update your computer fairly often, It may have the fact to do with your interent connection. If your internet isnt connected. It wont work. Or it might just be unplugged.
make sure you haven't turned it off!! by clicking 'fn' and 'F10' that can turn your webcam on/off:)
It does work in the UK, I think your computer might be broken.
USB streaming may work, but is not a feature on the SONY HDR-XR500V. There have been rumors about a firewire port that connects to you computer then you can use it as a webcam possibly. From what I know, it cannot be used as a webcam.
