There is not a direct keyboard option, but here is how you can write Roman Numbers using MS Word. First you type the letter to create the Roman Numeral (e.g. MMCCDXIV) then position the cursor behind the first letter M. The next step is to add the line above the letters by selecting a symbol. On ribbon bar, select: Insert|Symbol and More Symbols option. On the Symbols tab locate the subset "Combining Diacritical Marks" and click on the upper bar symbol Ì… (probably fourth symbol from the left) to place the character above the first letter. Place the cursor behind the second letter and repeat as many times as necessary to mark each letter. In the example (MMCCDXIV) you create this: MÌ…MÌ…CÌ…CÌ…DÌ…XÌ…IÌ…VÌ…. After you have created your marked Roman Number, you can cut and paste from MS Word to the document where you would like to use the symbols.
