The instructions are in the HELP function of MS Word.

Open either Microsoft Works Word Processor from the Task Launcher or Microsoft Office Word directly.

Use the Help button, with search term Page Border (or Add a border to a page -- the results will be the same)

Look for results, "Add a border to a page."

Go to Format then Borders and Shading.

A letter on its own, with no other letters immediately beside it can have a border around it. Select it, go to Borders and Shading, choose the border type and then apply it to Text rather than paragraph. You can also draw boxes and put text into them and you can draw a box over existing text and make it transparent.

Select what you want and the go to the Format menu and pick the "Borders and Shading" option. Once there you can apply borders to different things. You can also put borders around pictures and other objects by formatting them.

From the upper toolbar pick:

Format - Borders and Shading - Page Border

Pick one you want and it is done.

OR

On that Border and Shading Options dialog box, change the "Measurement From" list box to Text, then set the border margins to 1 or 2 pixels.

  2. in the page background section click on "Page Borders"
  3. in the pop-up select style, color, and width or add art

1.Go to page layout tab in the ribbon. In the page background options group, click 'Page Borders'.

2. From the option menu that pops up, choose your border type, color, width etc.

3. preview appears in the right part of the box.

Once done choosing , click ok and border will be applied to all pages in the document.
