Simple, I think. If you click onto their username. a small box red box says, leave a message for xxxx, and at the bottom is a box to type away. Comments are cool, but Wiki is not a chat room. Take Care, UScitizen
type in anything then go to where it is answered then click on it then yay you can write on peoples message board.
ID numbers dont have message boards. They are unregistered contributors.
First you go to other peoples pinboard and you click the 'write a message' icon on the top then you write a message

When you asked this question, the message boards were down. They still are actually (54 minutes later) it was submitted as a priority one bug. As a wise old supervisor said "Well let's use this time to do what we should, answer questions!!"
In order to leave a note on their board you will need to be a friend of theirs. If you are then go to their room, click on the pinboard, click on the new message button and get writing! You can also be creative and choose a colour for your note and also a background picture.
From there bio page, you can click 'Message User', then write your message in the message box. There is also the option to 'Add a message on X's message board' from their bio page, this is located just below any information they have written on their own bio page.
You can write messages on people's Message Boards, or you can use the Community Forum. Chatting in the question and answer section of this website is not allowed, and will result in you getting blocked.
If "others" refers to other users, find a user. When you are in another user's profile, go down a bit, looking to the right. There whould be an envelope with words that say "Message user". Click on it. You can now write a message to the user. Sometimes, it may take you to their message board, but if it does, just click on the link that says "Write a message". Now, you can write to a member.
Currently there is no chat component on Answers.com. You can write on other people's message boards as a way to communicate with other members on the site.
If you have an account you just click on the tab under my pages and click community forum and you click on a person and then @ the bottom of that page it says write on this persons message board and then you just type and save. TRUST ME IVE DID IT BEFORE THATS HOW I KNOW
Assuming you're talking about someone who has contributed to a question... click on their user-name, that will show their profile page. Towards the bottom is a blue link 'Add a message on (username)'s message board. If you click on that - it will take you to their message board, where you can write to them. You cannot write on their profile directly. Only the user, and senior Wiki staff have access to that.
