check out the selinoid on the trunk latch
Passenger side tail light corner is where my changer is
depends on if you have the Bose stereo if you do look under the rear dash in the trunk it would be there
when you open your trunk look to the left or right corners and you will see wing nuts or just simple nuts take these off and the whole assembly should come out for you now its just a matter of unscrewing and replacing the bulb
Go in through the back of the light in the trunk. You might have to pull away the carpet in the trunk to ger at it. Then it just twists out.
I have the same problem on my 2001 Olds Intrigue. It appears to be a leak in the trunk deck at the point where the power connects through for the brake light in the spoiler.
On the GLS and GL models. You can also add one yourself.I bought a spoiler off EBay painted to match my car (give them your paint code from the trunk decal of your car).$145 shipped, and an hour of installation. Looks great! CPC
Unplug the whole light assembly from the bottom front of the car it just pops out to replace the turn signal bulb-same on the rear but you have to remove the trunk lining first.
your back window or the trunk rubber is leaking. see if you can talk a small friend into going in the trunk with a flashlight and take a garden hose and literally soak the rear of the car.i had the same problem and mine was the rear window was leaking on both sides from the top
i did it on my 2001 intrigue, pretty easy, but make sure you have enough ventilation. Remove the cover from the trunk and locate the tank lock at the trunk. With a flat head screwdriver , tap the cover till it comes loose. (tool not needed) then you will be able to pull pump and replace in reverse order. took me about 45 min. (have to get in and out of trunk few times. (try to do it with a low level of gas in tank. & avoid gas fumes by doing job in well ventillated area, i did it under a tree outside)
Most GMs of that vintage with a power trunk release is located in the glovebox
Use the key in the cylinder in the trunk.
