The key buzzword is "Number Portability." In the USA and Canada, you can "port" your phone number to a different provider in most cases, even including porting a mobile phone (cell phone) number to a landline, or vice-versa. In many other countries, you can port your mobile phone number to a different mobile provider, but not to a landline. Contact the new company you want to do business with and ask about the availability of number portability.
In general, your cell service must still be active to keep the same number when switching to a different provider.
To keep your mobile number when switching to a new service provider, you need to request a "porting" of your number. Contact your new service provider and provide them with your current number, account information, and any necessary identification. They will handle the transfer process with your old provider to ensure you can keep your number.
It's called number portability,if you want to keep the same number & area code.Your provider will assist you with this.Ask the provider you are switching to as they, wanting your money will be more accomodating.
Yes as the mobile number is dictated by the sim not the handset.
If you are moving but staying in the same area code you should be able to keep your phone number. Check with your provider.
If you want to keep the same number many service providers will work with you and help you keep your number. It depends on your current provider and the provider that you are going to switch to, if you're going to switch. But as far as moving to another area goes, no it won't change on it's own.
If you want to keep your number - but migrate to a different carrier - then yes. You ask your current provider for your Port Authorisation Code (PAC). The PAC basically gives the new carrier 'permission' to used your number with their network. Give the PAC to your new provider - who will set your existing number up on their network.

You need to get your Port Authorization Code (PAC) from your current provider. Give the PAC to your new provider - this gives them permission to swap your number from the old carrier to the new one. Your current provider should give you your PAC for free.
Your internet provider has nothing to do with your email address. Your internet provider simply gives you internet access. You email address is through a search engine company ( google, yahoo, aol, msn and so on). If you was to swap say from a cable internet provider to a dsl provider you will be able to keep your current email address.
There is a vast number of internet sites where you can do this, also if you have a smart phone or iPhone, there is a number of apps that you can download to help you keep on track
