Click Edit then Special Characters.
On a keyboard the times button has the symbol "*" printed on it, this is usually found as upper case "8" but there may also be a "*" present on the numeric keypad section of your keyboard, if your keyboard has this.
ctrl C For a mac, the apple symbol than C
option (alt) + s
On a Mac keyboard, press and hold the option key, then type the number 3. Then release the option key. I don't know about on a Windows keyboard
so plug it in to your USB drive on your mac or PC (for the mac keyboard)
All Macs come with keyboards (except maybe the Mac Mini). It is the thing with lots of squares with letters written on them that you use to write into the computer.
Command-X ("Command" is the key to the left and right of your keyboard and may have an apple symbol on it instead, depending on the year of your computer.)
