he holds them on a flower,a clover which he carries with his trunk
In Dr. Seuss' "Horton Hears a Who," Horton the elephant carries the entire town of Whoville on a small speck of dust on a clover. Horton uses his trunk to transport the speck to a safe place and protect the Whos from danger.
On The Head Of A Clover
Horton the elephant was in the Jungle of Nool on the 15th of May in the book "Horton Hears a Who!" by Dr. Seuss. This jungle is where Horton discovers the microscopic planet of Who-Ville and hears the tiny inhabitants who live there.
The town name in "Horton Hears a Who" is called Whoville. It is home to the Whos, small creatures living on a speck of dust that Horton the elephant discovers.
IMHO I don't believe so, based on the following. In "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" the Whos are a little larger than Max, the Grinches dog. Assuming that Max is a normal dog, and not a Seuss creature kind of dog, then they are obviously larger than a speck on a flower, which was the whole world for the Whos of "Horton Hears a Who!"
In Horton Hears a who the Mayors name is Ned which he is called 2 times in the movie. In the movie his last name is McDodd but on other websites e.g. Wiki it's O'Mally but I think the internet got his surname wrong!

It was Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
In addition to Whoville, other towns in Dr. Seuss books include Mulberry Street, Chippendale Mupp, Badfort, and Solla Sollew. Dr. Seuss created a whimsical and imaginative world filled with unique and colorful towns that have become iconic in children's literature.

i think that the Grinch is about the average height of a person. my guess would be about 5 feet I was actually wondering how tall the Grinch really is. you would think he's as tall as an average human but he lives on that mountain about who-ville and the who's are so small they live on a speck(according to "Horton hears a who") so I would imagine he's small enough to live on that same speck. so I guess he'd be insanely small?
