Someone else answered this question but mentioned that not all the cards have different names. However the dude he learnt it from had all his cards with different
names.
One possible way is, he has memorised all 52 card names and assosiated each name with each cards suit and number. And the trick comes down to how good your memory is.
I'm not certain but after watching it a few times I'm Pretty sure he has a deck with Tim written On all 52 cards +'about 7 or 8 with different names, as he never allows the other person handle the cards. He can flip over just the ones he wants you to see. This means the trick will only work on one person each time.

To perform the card spinning trick, hold the card between your thumb and index finger, then quickly flick your wrist while releasing the card. The flicking motion will cause the card to spin as it travels through the air. Practice is key to mastering this trick, as it requires coordination and timing to get the card to spin consistently and smoothly.
Aha....a trick question. Lawrence Taylor did not have a 1981 Topps Card. His rookie card is 1982 Topps #434--and it's worth $20 in MINT condition with no flaws. The only Topps card of LT's which is numbered 166 is from 1989, where he is on the sideline kneeling on his right knee with his left elbow on his left knee. That card is worth 25 cents in MINT condition.

The trick relies on a specific pattern of numbers and calculations to lead to the desired outcome. By following the steps correctly, the magician can predict the chosen card based on the final result of the calculations.
There are no tricks in poker, there is three of a kind or a pair. A three of a kind always beats a pair.
